Topic Dog Boards / Health / Little pomeranian puppy needs help!!

Dear Everyone

I have a lovely little pomeranian puppy (8 month old), this is the first puppy I ever had, while she is growing, her legs always get twisted, and she has to limp for couple of days in order to heal, I was just wondering if there is anything I can do to prevent this, perhaps change her food to help her born grow to gain more strength, or take her out more?

Please can someone help us, thanks very much!

Kindly Regards

Sky

Have you spoken to you vet about your puppy?  What did they advise?

yes, I did, they tested on her and told me there is nothing wrong with her borns

So did they say just what IS causing her so much discomfort?  Did they advise restricted excercise?

No, last time, they just injuected some pain release, I thought there is no reason to bring her to the vet one more time just to let them touch her legs and charge me another 50 quid, they give me no advise, only saying because she is tiny and young, so I hope I could find some answer in here, thanks for your concert

Obviously there is still something wrong, if she was my dog, I'd take her back - £50 or not - surely you don't want her to be like this for the rest of her life?  It's not something that diet can change, unless her diet is already deficient in something like calcium or vitamin D (which is needed for healthy bones) - and any commercially available complete food should not be deficient unless something like bran is added (as this can affect the absorbtion of calcium in some cases)
