I am getting very different advice from friends, dog walkers etc so thought I'd ask you people as you have so much experience between you.
I have a 18 month old bitch (dalmatian) and am looking to get another dog.(dalmatian)
I have been told
"Don't have two bitches living together"
"Must be a dog & a bitch"
"Depends on the age"
I have had dog & bitch in the past and with no problems, 2 bitches but one was 6 month old and one was 13 year old and they did have squabbles.
Can anyone help me out on this one?
I'm looking to get another dalmatian up to 3 years old.

I've never introduced adult dogs - when I've bought in a new one it's always been a pup in with adults, so although I've only ever bought in bitches to introduce to other bitches there's never been any problems with squabbles.

I have 4 bitches, but like Jeangenie I've always introduced a pup to adult, we don't get any squabbles they all get on well and respect the pecking order :-)
