Over the last couple of days I've noticed a clicking noise coming from my dogs front leg.  It's only happened a handful of times and seems to be coming from either the ankle area or the joint above it (not the elbow).  She doesn't seem to be in any pain and when I move it about it seems fine - no swelling.  I'm going to make a appointment at the vets tomorrow, but I was just wondering what supplements/alternative remedies you would recommend for joint troubles, as I would prefer to use natural remedies (if possible). She is an Irish Terrier and about 14kg.

I have resently had my Golden Rtriever to the vets for the same thing.  He had an operation on his right hip in march due to Hip Dysplasia so i was worried it could be related. When the Vet manipulated his joints she said it clicked the first time but she not overly worried as he is not lame at all or in any pain.  I asked about suppliments for joints etc and she said there was no need just told me to keep an eye on it.  Obvously your vet may recomend something - but mine said joints do click sometimes.  I would be interested to know what your vet suggests though.
