I have a 7 month old (amazingly clever, brilliant, and handsome) Border Terrier who I think I might like to be a stud dog. I don't really know the particulars of what's involved, like at what age one should start, what is required beforehand in terms of health checks, how I would go about advertising his 'services', what happens when he gets down to business(!), protocol/politics etc. I have heard that it may change his personality - is this true?
I run my own business and so I can spare the time, dedication and enthusiasm but I don't think this in itself is enough, I need to know more about how to make the right decision. So if anyone has any advice, words of warning/encouragement or tips for the top I'd be INCREDIBLY grateful!
