when do bitches get there milk in? my bitch mammary gland have been swelling up for a week now but no milk yet. she has 9 days to go

Some bitches drip for over a week before whelping.  Some don't get milk until the puppies are actually being born.  Don't keep squeezing the teats to see if milk is there, you could introduce infection from your hands and anyway, her teats are tender.  Just leave well alone, nature usually works things out without us having to constantly check.
