I have a Dalmatian Pup now, 12 weeks old.  She had normal flat floppy ears to start with, but in the last 2 weeks the tips of her ears have flipped up at both sides and sit almost on top of her head.  The breeder said it would be the puppy teething.  Is this right??

I've never seen dalmatian ears as you describe them - sometimes the ears 'fly' (are held high and to the back), and sometimes they stick out sideways more than they should. Teething does indeed cause very strange ear carriage sometimes, and generally when the teeth are finally through the ears settle down normally again. There's nothing you can do about it, so wait and see what happens. Sorry I can't be more help.

As everyone says, it's teething.  Some puppies make a real meal of it.  Red, baggy eyes, flat feet, ears that fly (in fact sometimes they go different ways from week to week).  By the time they are 6 months old (but often not before then) the ears should be OK.  I always think if they are made right, they come right in the end.  You'll just have to be patient.

Thank you so much for your advice and reassurance. I will try and be patient
