Can anyone recomend something that will smell nice to use in the kennels although we scrub the rescue kennels everyday and use parvocide they smell strong when we have a few male dogs in any suggestions?

We use Odorkill in with the Parvocide (get it from Professional Choice) when we wash our kennel runs out - it keeps them sweet smelling (although ours aren't lived in 24-7). There is a choice of "perfumes" too - bubble gum or ocean fresh - I prefer ocean fresh (but the dogs say can't we just leave a fish or two :) )

Do you have a concrete floor Mattie? If thats the case the smell seeps in and stays there, its a real pig to move. We use Trigene and Odogene, its excellent, hospital grade but VERY expensive and we have ceramic tiled floors which doesnt hold the smell. A dilute bleach will help, but wash it down well afterwards.

Ive had this problem for ages and last weekend I got some simple solution stain and odour remover from pet city.
Didn't expect it to work but it was fantastic! 7 days later and still no smell. Before this i had used dilute bleach, jeyes etc and could never get rid of the smell

Sorry, its Pets at Home now!
Its "Simple Solution Stain and Odour remover". Was with other odour removers for carpets etc.
I keep going outside and sniffing because I really cant believe the smell of wee has actually gone :)

Hi Timhere,
I also have a problem with outside smells, and I'm willing to try anything anyone recomends.
I've bought what you mentioned, but I thought it was only for carpets. Ive used it quite a few times on my carpets when I've got pups in the house. I found it very good for that.
If I'm to use it outside on concrete how much do you put into a bucket of water, I wouldn't of thought it would be much good diluted right down.

I used it neat on the problem spots where he cocks and about 50/50 over the rest of patio. DIdn't let dogs out till it had rained. That was last saturday and it still no smells

I'd go through a full bottle every time then. The drive is about 8 foot by 23 foot. (roughly)
I've got 1 dog and 2 bitches, and they pee out there a few times a day. I suppose there is a couple of areas that get peed on more, but I need to do the whole area regular. It cost just over £5 a bottle.:(
I'll give it a bash though, and tell you what I think.

I've found Cif Oxy-Gel (Orchid fresh - not the spray) diluted as per the bottle very effective in my garden - concrete yard and slabbed patio - rinsed off after about half an hour. Easy to get and cheap too :)
Now if anyone could point me to something I can safely use on the planted areas where my dog also insists on going I'll be a happy woman :)
