We get our new puppy on saturday and i am so excited. Was just wondering what would be the best way to introduce him to our other animals. We have 5 cats, 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs and a parrot.

Congrats on new pup...sounds like you will have your hands full! Can only help with the cats i'm afraid - we have 2 and we basically kept the puppy downstairs with the aid of a stairgate and let the cats have upstairs to themselves, if they came downstairs we held on to the puppy at first so he couldnt chase them then eventually he would go and have a sniff but if he got too close we distracted him with a toy (partly to protect him from their claws!). This went on for a few months with them hardly ever coming downstairs, by the time he was 6 months old one of our cats would go up and kiss the puppy on the nose whenever he came in and the other, more wary one wouldnt get very close but would happily sit on the sofa while the pup was in the room. Took a while but all good now.
