one of our dogs has been stolen!

Sex: Female
Age: 3 years 

Taken this afternoon, from kennels in Woodcote, Berkshire.
Believed to be taken by gypsies, police informed, picture availible by email.

OMG! I am so sorry. That is the worst nightmare. What do the police say is the liklihood of getting her back? Oh...you can't answer as you're a guest. Why don't you join?

It seems to happen every year around this time. Working Labs and working Springers are the usual. The normal drill is that they are stolen to a shopping order. We had reason to believe last year that the dogs were on a boat to Ireland almost before the owner knew they had gone and from there they were exported onto the Continent. Two Keepers in the South Bucks area had their kennels emptied that I know of. Trained working gundogs are worth big money and with the season fast approaching we need to take all care.

So sorry to hear of your loss :(  I wonder if the lady who left her working Springer spaniel dog tied up outside a local pet store is reading this..........  I did point out the risk she was taking, but she didn't seem too concerned :(
