Can anybody tell me if two male bichons will usually get on together.  They are not aggressive dogs but we are thinking of getting a friend for our bichon and we are not sure which sex we should go for.  We have seen a 12 month old male advertised in the paper but I am worried that they might fight.  Our bichon is nearly 6 months old.  I don't really want to go for a puppy but something 5 months onwards would be ideal.  The only other thing I am concerned about is that our bichon has got a skin problem and is always scratching and I wondered how common this is in bichons because I don't really want another dog like this if I can help it because it upsets me to see him scratching all the time although he seems happy enough.
