I don't know if anyone else experiences this problem but whenever it rains or thunderstorms the pups go absolutely nuts!! Even when its only threatening to rain. They seem more agitated and hyper and won't sleep during the night or day.
I thought it may be the noise of the storms that scare them but even when its not raining but overcast they are just mental.
Is this something to do with air pressure or something?

They must have been going mental quite a bit just lately then. :D
Must admit nothing seems to make my 2 act unusual, they are lazy whatever the weather but that's whippets all over for you.
In case you didn't know already, whenever a storm or fireworks are happening just act normal. If dogs see us react to loud noise etc it makes them think that there's something to worry about. If they are fretting over noise don't try to comfort them it makes them worse, just carry on as if everything is fine. :-)

Some of the firesworks are so loud that they make me jump out of my skin and they seem to let them off at any time these days...birthdays ect.    I agree that it is better to act normal if you can (but if you are afraid of something I think animals can pick up on it anyway) but if you are taken by surprise yourself it isn't easy.   My neighbours dogs are petrified of thunder and lightning and hide under the stairs during a storm (so does their owner)!

They arent so much scared but they are really hyper running around the house chasing each other and seem very agitated....
