Anyone see the gundog group? Understand there was an 'incident' and being nosy would like a first hand account. :) :D

What happened then? Really curious now!
I was there didn't see an incident, please enlighten JH. Do you mean the dogs left in the car??

No this was in the group judging, think it will be in the papers but I am just to nosy to wait.
From what I have been told Jackie, not first hand unfortunately :-D
The judge for the gundog group went over three of the dogs then asked them to move and whilst they were moving turned round and started to go over the next dog in the line-up.
Apparently Terry Thorn had a quiet word to her about it.
Afterwards three people, whether it was the three involved that I don't know, put there money down with the Secretary.

Now that is a different and slightly less colourfull version from the ones I have heard. One of the reasons I had hoped someone was there and knew what the truth was.

It will be a long wait for the dog papers this week then..............I have just had a look on the Our Dogs forum, but nothing on there. There must be a gundog person on here with 'contacts'.

Was hoping someone would PM me, would think the dog papers will play it down if the matter has gone to the Kennel Club, and if what I heard was what happened it does need dealing with.

I expected a mention of what happened in the Terrier Gr4oup judging at East of England but nothing was done.
The judge who I think was from australia placed his group dogs in reverse order, and by the time stewards realised what was happeneing had already placed fourth and third, so continued with choosing 2nd and 1st, though he did the Hounds correctly.
Now the poor woman with a Staff |I think that was first to be pulled out must ahve felt awful when she got picked only to find she was 4th and not the Group winner.

That is horrible and against the rules but understandable because I guess no one had bothered to let the judge know how we do it. Think if what I have heard is true this is totaly different and will, if true, be delt with.

Well one of Gwens pups did very well :D Also the elkhound got shortlisted in the Hound Group.

Gwen might know, if you hear anything pm me. I just phoned a friend in Red & Whites who was there but she didn't stay for the group and hasn't heard anything.

Jackie I think you are over hoping ;-) I heard the same as Lady Dazzle, and I think we both heard it from a person actually in the group :P

Ice Queen, that is beginning to sound more like the story I have heard, but if it has gone to the KC then it will be sorted in the end. Have no personal interest in this except I do not like the few bring the rest of the judges into disrepute; the 'elite' judges should set an example to the lower orders. Still it could be that there is nothing in the story and it is just someone tiring to stir things up through sour grapes, but even more reason to know the full and true story.

I watched a bit of the gundog group but had to go to compete in the puppy group, we got a puppy group 3 placing !!!
I will ask our B of B if she knows anything as she was there.
