I'm trying to find the right complete biscuit for my 16 month GSD bitch and wondered, you owners out there with gsd's what you feed yours, I feed Hill's to my retrievers but that seems a little too rich for her, she is not a fussy eater and she does love her tripe in the evening.
Thank you for any suggestions

I feed my 1 year old (Happy Birthday, Sasha!) gsd on Autarky, she's always been a bit picky and has a sensitive stomach, but we're on our 3rd bag now and all seems to be going well (fingers crossed).

Thanks for that Paula, I'll give it a try, she is my first gsd and I have heard that they can have sensitive stomachs.

I have BCs but my friend has two GSDs and feeds them on Burns with Sardines and they look great on it.

Resisting the temptation to say food, try Original Chappie, good complete food in a can and not over priced, it is excellent for GSD tummies and believe me I have had more than my fair share of GSD tummies. You can add the odd biscuit treat too if the dogs can tolerate it.

James Wellbeloved has been the best for my 15 month old GSD.  Since he has been on that we have had no trouble with loose motions and his coat looks wonderful.

Another Burns owner here!  Os (nearly 3 year old male) used to have a dicky belly and was also painfully thin when growing depsite us trying allsorts to get a bit of weight on him.  We switched him to Burns at about 18 months and have never looked back.

In fact we often get complemented on how good he looks and just last week people were asking if we would ever be getting pups from him due to his build etc!

If you want to try Burns go to www.burnspetnutrition.co.uk as they deliver to the door.  Try phoning and asking for a sample - they are very helpful!

P.S.  My little girl (5 month old black GSD) is on their Canine Extra and loves it - it's one of the only dry foods that she actually wants to eat.

Ive just read your post , im not here giving advice im not a breeder , your post just brought back lovely memories of my gsd , blu..she was the pickiest eater i ever knew, i tried everything b4 i  found butchers tripe mix, she adored it ,lol... But her fav was when we had a curry and chapatis, or spare ribs and fried rice , she had a little plate of it with us, oh and her bourbon biscuits,  Before there are replies saying  i did wrong feeding her these things,
She lived till over 13, was healthy , had the most beautiful long coat, and was a very well looked after dog, thank u for reminding me how much i loved her....
