I had been looking forward for months to attending above event. However, we were stressed out by the time we arrived - delays on the motorway, then when we breathed a sigh of relief on the approach to Windsor, a horrific jam on the Windsor/Eton relief road. (I had forgotten that it's also the main route to Legoland...) Then we crawled up the road to the race-course, crawled in to the entrance, and crawled on for what seemed like ever until we eventually parked a considerable walk from the event. I was just so pleased it wasn't excessively hot, as we haven't got air conditioning.
Our two young labs had never ever seen so many dogs and got very excited and pulled and tugged all the way to the event. ( They can walk beautifully in less stimulating surroundings). I would like to have gone to the loo but the queue was enormous.... Anyway, we wandered round, saw lots of beautiful dogs and ours settled down somewhat.

We returned to the car around 2.30pm. I disappeared into the bushes to answer the now desperate call of nature. Then we set off - only to discover an enormous queue on the way out - by now it was getting hotter and hotter and I was really worried for the dogs. The young lads supposed to be controlling the traffic didn't seem to have a clue. They were letting cars out of the front car parks, and ingnoring the large queue which was building up behind. Eventually I got out of the car and shouted at them, "Will you please let these cars go!" and at last we could move. Not an enjoyable experience and I have no desire to repeat it.

Please don't let this put you off - the show is supposed to be returning to Ascot next year, and last year the parking was much better organised.  The toilet situation was dire I understand - but there were two lots of toilets, the second lot weren't on the plan  and the queues there were non existant whenever I went to use them.  Many thanks to the lovely lady wha asked me were the loos were - I wasn't able to tell her anything other than what was on my map - but she came back to the Puppy School stand specially to tell me about this little 'oasis' she'd found :)

I have to say I actually found the traffic alot better than last year.  We got there early as we live in Devon and left at 5.30pm.  Took us about 10 minutes to get out if that and straight onto the motorway.  For us that was easier than Ascot which is some way from the motorway.

On the whole a good show though I have to say the world record sit was a complete and utter disaster.  Being crammed in that small area for what felt like hours with two dogs very hot and bothered was just ridiculous.  I hope they see sense and do it like they did last year next year in the individual rings which was much better.

A good show and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the Heelwork to Music.

I'm pleased it's returning to Ascot because I much preferred that venue to Windsor.
There was in fact an announcement about the loos, and i too found the other loos which only had a very small queue of about 5 people in front of me. We arrived at about 9.30 and had ashort queue to get in, but no real problems and we were close to the venue too :)

I didn't realise there had been traffic delays as we drove straight into the ground at 9.30am and again no problems getting out at 4.30pm.   I must admit, the 'great sit' was a bit of a mess and could have been organised better.  But we really enjoyed the day and especially some of the games in the games zone.
