Hi can someone help i was just wondering why my chodolate labrador has got really light bits on her back like yellow. she is quite a nice colour darkish except there is two bits on each side of her on her back that are lighter almost yellow.THANKS

Suspect that is just the way she is marked, chocolate being a dilute colour and from a complicated gene mix I guess it is not always possible to get a perfect solid colour, but may be someone who has more understanding of Lab colour genetics will answer the question for you and me.

Are the marks well forward, similar to the lighter areas seen on yellows? Chocolates often have this too.
Is this something you have only noticed during the summer? Choc coats often loose out badly in the sun. They really do get bleached out, although this is usually seen as a mottleing or flecking of the coat.
It could even be patching although this is not common. Back in the formative years of the breed is was not uncommon for a two coloured Labrador although these days it is usually confined to a blaze on the chest or a marked paw.
Without seeing it I would be hard pushed to give a reason.
