
Hi, thanks for the link, it is interesting, but must be so rare in the breed as to be almost non-existent, or perhaps other behavioural problems have been labeled as "Cocker rage"? It is not recognised or documented at all in the breed in the USA, where the numbers are so great that if it was evenly remotely in evidence it would be seen there. Sorry to hear about your dog, but I have seen American Cockers who simply have poor temeraments, through inheritance or poor rearing/training, even abuse. I have never seen nor heard (until yours, of course) of an American Cocker exhibiting the symptoms of inexplicable aggression etc which are rage indicitave. I can, however, think of one dog in the UK who was reputed to produce offspring with distinctly "iffy"temperaments, and another (this is going back a good few years now) who was so agressive (but predictiably and consistently so) that his owners were reluctant to handle him.
