Hi, thanks for the link, it is interesting, but must be so rare in the breed as to be almost non-existent, or perhaps other behavioural problems have been labeled as "Cocker rage"? It is not recognised or documented at all in the breed in the USA, where the numbers are so great that if it was evenly remotely in evidence it would be seen there.  Sorry to hear about your dog, but I have seen American Cockers who simply have poor temeraments, through inheritance or poor rearing/training, even abuse.  I have never seen nor heard (until yours, of course) of an American Cocker exhibiting the symptoms of inexplicable aggression etc which are rage indicitave.  I can, however, think of one dog in the UK who was reputed to produce offspring with distinctly "iffy"temperaments, and another (this is going back a good few years now) who was so agressive (but predictiably and consistently so) that his owners were reluctant to handle him.

rage is very very rare , Id like to point out that many other breeds suffer from the problem. anyone wanting info should read the about address and if you think you dog any breed has rage contact wendy or linda at rage they will help :)
Lots of info has been taken on rage and its normaly linked to bad breeding , I was told that it can be worse in certain areas where puppy farms are .im not saying the poster is a bad breeder , somtimes these things just pop up.
poster i hope you have spoken to wendy or linda at rage they will take all the info and try to figure whats going on with rage.
there are things to help these dogs hopefuly anyone reading up on rage will pass the info on :)
poster i dont think anyone would think bad of your line , it could be the bitch or the stud that has a problem .mabe its none of there faults but id ask one of the girls at rage for some help on finding out if one of them was the problem
American cockers do get this rare problem i read it on an american site a few years ago
