Is anyone going to the Wag & Bone show on Saturday? I didn't go last year but believe it's supposed to be very good.
sarah
Went last year, it was brilliant! Hoping to go in the afternoon this year as other half is working in the morning and don't fancy taking the kids with me as I want to go into some of the talks again. I'm lucky that I only live a 10 min drive away
Might see you there!

Yes, we have tickets so we're hoping to get there!

Despite living on the doorstep, I never get there, as I love Bournemouth show and it always clashes - still going to Bournemouth this year, even though I'm not entered. Fancied going this year, but it clashes again.
I'm sure you all know this, but it's Windsor racecourse next year, as they're re-developing Ascot.

Hee hee - i'm t'other way round, live in Bournemouth and going to the Wag and Bone. I do like the Bournemouth show but ...

I'm going, I know Lyndsay is too, and Jo C. I'll be on the Puppy School stand most of the morning, but being let off the leash and free to roam (and shop!) all afternoon - look out for short LARGE lady, grey hair and glasses in pink Puppy School polo shirt (and plastic mac if this weather keeps up :( )

might be going too but won't know until last minute. That's our corgi advertising the show in the doggie press [Dogs Today/Kennel Club Gazette/NCDL so we feel we ought to go!
Will look out for you Digger.
Yep definitely going this year and wouldnt miss it. Went last year and loved it.
Digger - maybe i'll see you as I was supposed to be in the team for puppyschool with Ian Dunbar but had to pull out at the last minute due to one of my boys being attacked last week.

Never been before but am going saturday afternoon, if it's not too hot will be taking the pup as he is old enough to cope with a bit off walking now. Then going to Bournemouth on Sunday, glutton for punishment!

Can someone give me information on this event
wagandboneshow.co.uk I think is the website, held at Ascot Racecourse, nr Windsor, Berkshire, tomorrow all day. Loads of doggy events, fun, shopping and chances to learn about all aspects of dog care and training

Hi,
Did wonder from your earlier post saying you live 10 minutes away - notice above, this is NOT at Ascot Racecourse this year, it's at Windsor Racecourse!! :D
M.
Edited to add, cocked up in my post yesterday and said it's Windsor next year LOL. It is definitely this year.
Cheers M, I don't think that fact was very well publicised, so where is Windsor Racecourse then? :)

Directions are
here.
I didn't think it had been well advertised either, I only noticed it on the page when I went to check the date - haven't seen any adverts pointing it out clearly for those who've been to Ascot before.

I really enjoyed the show last year and got a chance to meet internet and email friends which i will also hopefully be doing this year too :D It's a bigg(ish) event IMHO but has the feel of a smaller more intimate event. What i really enjoy is that there are many people there who give their time and expertise for free once you have paid for the ticket. So you can chat to Ian Dunbar, see Sarah Fisher doing Ttouch and join in if you can grab a place; see Gwen Bailey teaching and go into the Shrink Think Tank for behavioural talks. There's another attempt at the record breaking 2 minute Sit and lots of competitions and games zones for dogs and owners. My OH won a rucksack full of goodies last year in the scurry with Banya, and really had fun, so it's a good way to get him to come along again :D
Hope the weather is not too bad.

Well everybody its just gone past 5am and we are up to allow enough time to travel up. Dogs all bathed yesterday and why is it as soon as you mention a bath to them off they go and fet filthy. The oldest one jumped into a very suspect pond yesterday and came out just black as opposed to black and white.
Oh well hope everyone has a good time!
