My 5 month old lab puppy has started to loose her teeth.  It's funny because so far she's lost 3 that I've seen and all times for the few hours before it fallen out she has been very very grumpy.  Won't eat her tea, barking at silly things, not settling and moaning a lot .  She's a drama queen at the best of times but a friend suggested buying ALoe Vera gel and rubbing it on her gums.  Has anyone else heard of this?  Or do you think it's just better to let nature run it's course?

I gave those bones with the dog tug ropes, dental tips, frozen cloths and I also heard that frozen carrots work great as well. :)

When my dog was teething I used to freeze his nylor bone/ring - make sure you put them in plastic bags first if using your freezer!

I found putting a wet face cloth in the freezer and letting him chomp on it was very soothing.  He loved it.

Frozen carrots and watermelon have helped my teething pup (watch out someone told me that watermelon is a diuretic effect on dogs) doesnt have this effect on minr though :-)
