I have always liked Cane Corsos, but i am really confused. If you look at the pictures on this PAGE you can clearly see the difference in the mouth/head between the picture at the top of the page and the picture of illuison at the bottom. How can a head differ so much in the same breed? Just for the record i prefer illusions head :).

BGY
and i prefer the more rounder head of the brindle. :-)
My breed varies obviously we breed for a oval shaped head filled and turned with plenty of muzzle strength.
But u should see some that are shown like the bullies years ago with dippy heads(no profile) and u can get both of these in litters.
Even some of the "wellbred" bullies have terrible heads.
Then there are the judges who dont like exaggerated profiles ............heck can we ever get it right.
vicki .

I think the rounder head gives them more of a 'mastiff' look?
I also prefer them with their Ears :D
I can remember checking out the hungarian wirehaired vizsla when they gained classes at Crufts for the first time. I was amazed at the variety in the head shapes of the dogs present at that time. I think that the judge had their work cut out that day :-)

I agree with you I love the Cane Corso but have seen such variations in body and head sizes. Apparently there is an American Cane Corso and the normal Cane Corso, see http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/abc.htm cane corso american and normal. Are these banned in great britain they are very attractive dogs as hey are mastiff like but very active a nize size though? Any breeders in the UK?
