Has anyone every had a mating after day 24 and the bitch has produced live puppies?

Yes, this is possible. :)

I know of someone whose dog was mated on the last day of her season, so must have been around that time, had the anti mate injections and went on to have 2 healthy pups, although normal size litter for the breed is 5-7.

I know someone whose Lab bitch was on day 31

A friend of mine had an accidental mating on day 27 - produced 6 pups.

Friend of mine had a bitch accidently mated by her brother at around this time also had anti-mate injection and produced 2 puppies.

My bitch had a split season - bleeding practically stopped (but not altogether) for a week after she had been in for about week. She was successfully mated on what would have been days 31 and 33 if counted from the first show of blood - she produced a large healthy litter with no problems :D

Our pup came from a litter of 10, where by the bitch was first mated on day 25 of her season.

My Spanish r usually mated days 18 & 20 and always have pups.  We had a Pom. once who we kept seperated from the male that we had for a month, 3 weeks after allowing her back in with the male we realised she was pregnant, so had to take on at least her 31st day!  She had 3 healthy pups by him :d
