Hi there.
I am looking to get a Lakeland Terrier pup,the pups will be redy in 12weeks.
I absolutetly adore the breed and the looks of the dog,but having read up on them and their behavior i am now doubting whether or not my lifestyle would be suitable for one.
I would like an opinion please from somebody who has had experience and trained with these gorgeous little hunting dogs.
Here is abreif summary of my lifestyle : Single parent(son 4yr very active and outdoory!), very active, teach horse riding,a personal trainer,go camping at county shows(lowther, royal lancs ect). Have plenty of time to exercise and train the pup, occaisionally may be left at home during the day and i prefer it to be outside than in the house.
I have always loved this breed of terrier, and am buying her from a good well known breeder. I would hate to pass up the chance of owning one of these dogs for fear of it being too noisey(neighbors) and not being able to let off the lead when out on walks!
Any help and advice with regards to handling and training would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou
Becky
