Angus the Westie is going through his Kevin stage and just lately he has started to lick my arms (and any other part of my body he can reach)! Is this an indication that he is lacking salt or is he trying to get his smell on me so he becomes the dominant male?

Cheers

I have the same problem with my 10 month old Siberian husky boy, Houdini. He just refuses to not lick! I have actually posted asking about this problem for myself, so if you're interested, just go into the Search option and type in my name, Sibeluver03, and the topics I posted with the replies will be brought up.

The advice given to me has been very helpful, seeing as Houdini still licks but not nearly as much as he used to. The wonderful people here advised me to make myself just out of Houdini's reach when he turns his head to lick. Another thing that has worked great is everytime Houdini licks me, I cry out as if I'm in pain. In Houdini's mind, he's hurting me when he licks me! And since I am top dog above both him and Kieron, the last thing he wants to do is hurt me, his queen. =)

Houdini is still learning not to lick everyone, but as said above, he has greatly improved. Also as said above, try searching for my topics and see what you can find there. :) Good luck!
