We are seeking large whippets to replace our very much loved but now departed brother and sister whippet lurchers.  Has anyone available puppies or young dogs/bitches which are too large/sturdy by breed standards.  We offer a farm home with horses/cattle/chickens and lots of wild rabbits to course!  Any dog we buy will not be shown and will be purely for pet/companion purposes.

PLease contact Victoria von Wachter at: wachter@5essexcourt.co.uk

Not sure what you mean by large whippets, the largest should be about 20" but you would not know that when the dog is a pup. You do see some whippets that make you look twice to ascertain if the dog is a small or puppy Greyhound or an oversize whippet, but again doubt if you could tell which pup in a litter will be the oversize one.

possibly mean a "hard blood" whippet which really is a whippet with some greyhound blood added, these dogs are common on the dog tracks of northern england.friend of mine owns a champion dog 24 inches at the shoulder.look for some whippet racing sites and they may be able to help.here is one message board, you need to register.
