After my recent haggling with Dell over their faulty printer/scanner/fax machines I am after a new combined scanner/printer.
Not worried so much about the fax as I never really used it but would like a decent printer/scanner if anyone has one to recommend ( that wont go faulty after a couple of weeks) and doesnt cost the earth for cartridges :rolleyes:

My last PC had a Hewlett Packard one that never played up so i am thinking of either them or Epsom .

Hi, I have an HP PSC 500 that has been reliable since day one, two years ago, I think they may have upgraded this model now though. Tried two others (lexmark) which let me down before I got this one :)

I've got an Epson CX6400 printer scanner, excellent no problems so far, also epson compatible cartridges are reasonably priced too!  I'm really happy with it's performance :-)

we have a lexmark 3 in 1 printer scanner photocopier model x1130, its great and was about £70 from argos, the print cartridges are quite dear though!

how much is "dear" ? Dell ones were quite expensive too :(

I don't know about combined printer/scanners but our last printer was an Epson and it was rubbish. It broke down twice and we took it back, they swopped it first time but we were fed up with it by second time so they let us upgrade to a Hewlett Packard 840c and it's been trouble free (I think we've had it about a couple of years now)

We've just started having our cartidges refilled by http://www.eurojet-cartridges.co.uk/ and so far they've been fine. Cheaper than buying new ones and they reckon to put more ink in than the originals have in them as well. :)
