Unfortunately it seems to be the unscrupulous, the back yard breeder and the puppy farmer who do most of the advertising and they seem to keep pushing the price up, for less than quality pups. In fact, it would seem from the posting we get on this forum the less care that goes into producing a litter the more they seem to think they should charge, a case of pups being a commodity like baked beans, produced to fulfil the demanded as cheap as possible for as large a return as possible.
The informed breeder seems to live in a separate world, immersing themselves in their breed their experience restricted to the other caring breeders and owners, they look for stock and studs amongst these people and unless they use a forum like this are to some extent unaware of what is going on outside the breed circle except for the dogs coming into rescue. Not suggesting they don't care, they do, but they are tied up in what they and their fellow enthusiasts are doing and are not always aware of those outside doing their best to ruin what has taken years and years to achieve within the breed. Sadly there is often someone within the breed circles who's behaviour also causes conceren.
