Topic Dog Boards / General / "Junior moult"?

Now I may be being really thick here, but what is a junior moult, and when does it happen?
Sparky leaves lots of loose hair behind him, and at times it is a bit clumpy, which I have always taken to be general "shedding" - slightly worse at this time of year, wasn't so bad in winter. His coat is fine - no bald patches or anything, but should I be expecting a severe "moult"? If so, what age does it happen, how long does it go on for, and is it possible it's happened without me really noticing anything more than having to empty the hoover a little more often? He's a BC, by the way.
Only ask because I overheard someone at club saying how terrible her BC looked when he went through his junior moult, but as I'd been earwigging and wasn't officially in on the conversation, I didn't want to ask what she meant!  Have visions of a near bald collie running through the grass and looking like a little pink piglet! :)

Think they must have meant the change of coat between the puppy coat to the adult coat.

Thanks, so I take it this has happened by now? Sparky is coming up to 15 months.
