Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Puppy at Leeds, who else?
- By Jeff (Moderator) Date 22.07.04 16:28 UTC
Have more or less decided that I will take my puppy to Leeds on Saturday. Anyone else debuting a pup or anything else?

Nope missed Leeds by a week...will be having his first outing at Houndshow on 7 August...at the age of 6 months and 4 days.

George (pup) will be 6 months and 2 days! I don't normally get nerves but this is obviously the exception!

Will be a few new Elkie pups out.  andy will have his new baby girl out (she went to her first Open show at Evesham) Treena's new baby also, and yours makes at least 3 :D

Yep...spoke to Treena at Birmingham and she said she had a new baby...bitch or dog?? Where did Andy's baby come from?
Not expecting much at Houndshow...Frankies VERY much still a roly poly baby, had no ring craft lessons and is a complete little s##T!!! I suppose being so closely related to my Asa I should have expected a slow maturer...
Frankies litter brother will be out at Houndshow too...so lots of lovely babies!!

Andy's is a bitch and sounds like yours, (only had one ringcraft lesson, and hates her teeth being looked at) she is out of his Norvin Sorceress (1CC 1RCC) and Enid's young CC winning male Lleandryn.  I helped him whelp the litter :D

Treena's is a girlie too.

Two ways to look at it, sometimes the baby pups with their lovely coats look better in puppy than the ones like mine who have or are loosing puppy coats, and starting to go through the stringy phase.

I am really in two minds as sometimes he looks good and other times not. He is between 5 and 7 weeks younger than the other pups that will be out, which I think is a lot at his age. Well here goes, fingers crossed!

You're right, I am desperate to! I don't want him to start off by getting beaten just because he is not quite ready. Anyway we shall see when we get to Leeds, I can always not take him on- as if!

Ah but good experience for him Jeff. :) Just keep telling yourself that. ;)

Hi Kazz,
Thanks for the encouragement, got there and still thought he looked immature compared to the others but took him in anyway. Got best pup in breed. Very pleased and shocked!

Hi there

Leeds (Monday) will be my wee girls first CH show, we took her to an open show last week when she was 6 months and 1 day. In my eagerness to get her out before Leeds I put her in a Sp Yearling class. There was only Brie and two 16 month old dogs in the class, how shocked was I when she was put up first. Hmm well Leeds is more of a challenge but we'll go and give it our best.

Happy showing and good luck to everyone.
