My boyfriend has just called to tell me that he found a tick on him  and it had been there for 3 days before he realised what it was :D :D
Where I live there is a real problem with ticks and im constantly pulling them off of Fagan and the cats, quite often I see them skating through Fagans fur when we get back from a walk looking for somewhere to embed themselves

This has totally grossed out my boyfriend (who has never had pets before and although he loves them he doesnt like the little passengers they carry - or poo - but thats another thread :D :D )  He has now banned all animals from MY bedroom ( ) the cats sleep on top of the wardrobe at night and the dog sometimes comes in for a cuddle in the mornings ;)  HE says that it doesnt happen to other people and it must be a rare occurance ...... please prove him wrong, has anyone else ever found a tick on them ?

I suppose I should also ask what the best repellant method is, they are all frontlined (drops) and Fagan has garlic capsules but they still pick them up

Claire (still laughing at the tick on OH :D :D :D :D :D )

Actually being bitten by a tick is not necessarily a laughing matter as I know both humans and dogs in the UK who have contracted Lymes Disease which is notoriously difficult to diagnose and can make people and dogs incredibly ill. :( and even lead to dog's death in some cases.

Yep I've found ticks on me, treat them the same as I do with the dogs, vaseline and pull them off.
It's one of the joys of country living

Well I would tell the boyfriend he has a choice, after all it is your bedroom and you can decide who and what is allowed to enter.
