Guest I am sorry to hear of your problems, if you bought your pup from one of clubs members I am sure they will be interested but if not they will have no way of helping and probably know of the problems but are not in a position to do anything.

We do have Dalmatian people on the forum and I am sure they will offer all the help they can.

The people in the dalmatian clubs will care very deeply that there are breeders who are still selling deaf puppies, when there is a perfectly good, cheap and foolproof test to determine a pup's hearing status from 5 weeks of age. I would personally be interested to find out who the breeder was, as all the ones I know would be horrified to find one had slipped through the net, and would be only too happy to help you. Have you told the breeder that the pup is deaf? Have you had her properly tested?

There is a group who claim to have expertise in deaf dogs (though I can't vouch for them). Their number is published in a magazine, so are in the public domain, so I feel able to put it here. Contact 'Sue' on 01983 525335.

Hope this helps.
