Savannah breaks up on Tuesday, but now I have her sister coming down to stay next friday for a few weeks, as well, I cannot do much with them at the moment like going to the beach ect, because of the pups, and I also have 2 grandaughter that live next door so it will be lively if nothing else, 4 girls all under 6 and over 4,Life will be a little stressful I think for the next 6 weeks, not to mention 7, 5 week old pups, Oh how I look forward to the holidays!!!!

Today is the first proper day of the Summer holidays and I now have Sophie (13) , Conor (11) and Stephen (43) at home for 6 weeks :D :D

Conor is attending a 2 week Summer school at the end of August for the national gifted and talented so that will occupy HIM for a while. Sophie will probably be visiting her friend a few times but will be web page designing apart from that.

Stephen I can easily occupy ...I have a LONG list of things that could do with being done around the house he will be pleased to hear :p :p :p :p

well I have one more day of peace (well when max is asleep anyway) before James (9) Jack(8) Lucy(6) and Josh(6) descend on me for six weeks of fun? I am skint (bought a puppy and leak in my purse appeared) so we will be looking for free things to do (do they exist) we have free use of school pool so hoping for some warm days to do that. Have a puppy who now loves his 2, 10 minute walks a day and apart from that I am stuck so just the 3 squillion hours to fill!!!!!!

i just noticed what you 2 were talking about and am very interested as our school are joining up to the talented and gifted register as from september and have been told my 8yr old is going to be included. What does it involve and is it fun for them? I had no idea he was so clever. Well obviousley we thought he was clever and he is ahead of my 9r old son by quite a way bu we had no idea he could be considered gifted. We are thinking about getting his IQ tested any ideas as to if this would be a good idea?

National Gifted and Talented Homepage

Sophie has been a member for 2 years and Conor was accepted this year. I wouldn't, personally, get an IQ test done ..but it is up to you. I can't see what it acheives so have never bothered with my two :)

I agree with you .... my son isn't a genius by any means just good with I .T. Skills and was chosen because he worked with the younger pupils who had fallen behind ...itwas more his kind nature that got him chosen ..... last year they spend 3 weeks in summer school and then a week on the I.O.W on a team buliding holiday . he had a fab time and came back a better boy ...
