can any one tell me the averge weight for a 12mth old dogue de bordeaux bitch i've just had my bitch weight and she is 45kg is this ok? she looks ok

I have 2 Bordeaux the bitch is 2 years old and weighs over 10 and a 1/2 stone, but the male was 12 months on April the 1st, he weighs  just over 9 stones, but he is and is at the leggy stage. and males are usually bigger than bitches, so I would say that she is one the right track, you do not really want to much weight on her at this time, I would keep her lean until she is over 18 months, if you put to much weight on there bones befor the bone hardens it could lead to bowing of her legs and hip problems, if she has a good covering over her ribs and you can feel her rib cage without it protruding she should be ok, if she is happy and healthy I would not worry

Agree with Britney the weight of your bitch sounds about right for her age.
