Toby has started something new, if i havent taken him for his walk or im late, he come and asks me to take him, he sits and stares at me until i take him out, he looks at me then in the direction of the front door,
do any of yours do this?
As he gets older he speaks to me more and more, even when we go walks he tells me which direction he wants to go but because he is a male i dont always let him have his own way :D :D :D

Toby is 16 months now
Lol, Millie never asks for a walk but my sister always walks her Westie after Eastenders. Consequently, each night as soon as he hears the 'doof doof doof-doof-do-do-doof" noise at the end he is up and sitting at the door, whining to be taken out.
What surprises her more is that now, five minutes from the end of Eastenders (who taught him to tell the time?) he gets up from whatever he was doing (sleeping, chewing, having his belly rubbed) to get ready to go and sit at the door!!!
Oh and he also dictates the route. We took the two dogs for a walk once when Millie was about 5 months old and bless her, she ended up having to do a 55 minute walk because Max would NOT deter from his favourite walk and come home the quick way, it was the full 55 minute walk or nothing!

There must be something about the Eastenders music. My lab fetches her lead when she hears the music and sits directly in front of my OH and stares at him until he takes her for a walk, oh sorry that should be 'she takes him for a walk'.
