Would it make sense to feed a puppy her last meal earlier around 6/7pm rather than later to avoid waking and night time accidents etc or would it be better to feed later around 9/10pm so then her belly is full and she will sleep through?

Depends on the age of the puppy, if it is still on 4 meals then that is too early you need to spread them as much as pos. throughout the 24 hours. IMO the defecation is not important it is the continual food intake that is important, one should not try to control the house training but the control of food and water, but as I said that is just my opinion.
I agree with Jackie. The night time feed is still needed for some time after the pup is in its new home. Cleaning up is a pain, but it's best for the growth of the pup to feed correctly.JMHO ;)

My puppies are 5 months and still fed 3 meals a day. Their last feed is around 9-9.30 after their last walk.

I took all food away from my pups by 8pm every night, left water tho...I free fed so they had food from 6am to 8pm every day....
