Topic Dog Boards / Health / Lump on leg

Alfie has a lump on his leg, it looks almost like one of his nipples but is twice the size.  The vet tried to squeeze it as she thought it was filled with pus, but decided in the end that it's a fat deposit and said not to worry unless it gets bigger.  There's no 'head' to it and the skin isn't broken.  It hasn't worried him until today when he was licking and nibbling at it.  Does this sound similar to anything anyone else has experienced?  Why would you get a fat deposit anyway?  Thanks.
(It's one thing after another with Alfie; skin infections, conjunctivitus, allergies.............he costs me a fortune!)

if the lump is bothering him take him to the vets and have it removed.it is better off than him making it sore/worse than it is.
even fat lump's can grow and in the wrong place can interfere with the dog walking etc.
what type of dog is he? maybe it is a skin tag which are harmless but can still be removed if needed.
if it is only small maybe they could do it with light sedation in stead of being knocked out for it.
