My dog came back from kennels last week sounding very hoarse which I have presumed is caused by him barking all the time ( he must have thought he was in heaven - no mum telling him off!). 10 days later and he still doesn't sound right.Has anyone else experienced this & if so how long did the hoarseness last?

Are you sure it's from him barking a lot, or could it be Kennel Cough??
Maybe a trip to 'Nice Mr Vet' might be in order, to get him checked out.

I don't think it is as he's had kc before and it doesn't appear to be the same. Hw was hoarse last time he came out of kennels but I'm sure it didn't last for so long. His arthritis seems to be bad at the moment and he is chewing his paws (house dust mite allergy) so I think maybe  will have to visit the vet. He (the vet)must be so fed up with me - 1 visit a week for the last month but not all for the dog! ( 3 rats pts & 1 cat for his booster) I keep my vets running single handed!!!!!!!!

Nice Mr Vet says its not kennel cough but he has got kennel dermatitis on his paws from contact with disinfectant
