I have a nearly 5month old Labrador who was being very sick just over a week ago. Vet admitted him and done an xray but he was not sedated and wriggling. The xray showed a suspicious round area but because he was wriggling said it could just be the stomach folding back on its self or something of no improtance. They kept him in overnight with the view of sedating him next day and x raying properly, but he was fine overnight no more sickness, they fed him he kept it down and sent him home the next night.
I am finding him still having intermittant sickness. Not everyday, he has twice bought his food back but otherwise kept it down fine and other times just heaved a bit and bought back not much.
He was fine all yesterday eating well etc then got him out of his cage this morning he ran outside and started heaving just bringing up like spit no food. he done this twice. I decided not to starve him this time but to feed him immeadiatly. It stayed down fine. he has since had another meal and a short walk and is again fine.
he has no tempreture and he is passing normal motions. he does not seem ill in his self although I am having a job getting weight on him and people often comment he is thin but vet thinks he is ok. i do myself think he looks and feels quite thin.
He is fed 3 times a day on wheat/Gluten free puppy food. his is wormed at present every month with drontal from the vet.
He is caged when i am out and at night and i always escort him in the garden so he cannot eat (hopefully ) anything without me seeing it although won't swear he hasn't. because I am always removing things from his mouth and he does like as have all my dogs always liked eating my rabbits poo as it does it round the garden.
Any ideas please?
