my partner put a post on here bout a subject but, i want to make things clearer. she mentioned that i will have a bullmastiff pup which will be a ''dog ''and she wants to get a golden retriever ''dog'' pup so they will both be pups when we get them. i live half the week at my partners and the bully will be coming with me. now, as the bully will be a ''visitor'' does anyone see that there could be any problems between the  2 dogs? we have been told that there will be dominance problems and could end up in  fights as it will be 2 boys!!! is there a high chance that this could happen?it worries me that we have been told it could.....any experiences????  many thnx

It very much depends on the indiviuals dogs concerned.  Golden retreivers tend to be happy with most other dogs, as working gundogs they have to be sociable.  A poorly socialised Bullmastiff may not be so easy going......  If they know each other from their very early days , rather than introducing them as adolesents with hormones running wild, you will also limit the potential for problems - but nobody can gaurantee anything.
