Way back in May/June 2001 someone on this board (sorry I cannot remember who) very kindly adviced me to get dog insurance that covers a condition for life. This advice came just in time as I had considered some of the cheaper ones.

Here we are 8 months on with a 10 month old westie with skin problems with vet bills at £500 and still rising so I am extremely grateful for that advice and hopefully this information will help someone else make the correct decision re insurance too.

(And no we didn't get our dog from and advert in the papers.)

Whew!! So glad you went for that. Sorry to hear about the skin problems, but hopefully it's not bothering him/her too much with the treatment:)
