Amy was in season at the end of April She is scarting up her bedding and scraping the carpets. Is it possible a puppy of 11 months can have a false pregnancy. I look forward to your views

Thanks Jean

Certainly. If she's old enough to come into season she's old enough to have a false pregnancy afterwards. It is the normal course of events for bitches. Don't let her start 'babying' cuddly toys etc, and stop her nesting as much as you can. Give her plenty of exercise and jolly her along - hopefully it will only be mild.

HI

I have a lab. Luna, she is 14 months old and is also having a false pregnancy, she doesn't have quite the same symptoms. Luna has gone of her food and whines at the cat constantly.

She isn't nesting, is just a bit lazy and clingy (that could be nervousness over us moving 14 days ago).

Its been a week now, where she has only eaten one meal per day! I don't really like it, but she doesn't seem to have lost a lot of weight yet!
