I have a five month old Chinese Crested Powderpuff. I bath him about every 10 days, is this too much? I know the hairless are bathed every day, so thought that it would be okay, now people are saying it's too much, but they do not know about this breed. Also I would like to have his face & ears trimmed, is this too soon?

I would think that by bathing to much with this breed you will take out natural oils that are present in the skin.
You can buy creams and such for this breed to rub in , so that you are replacing the oils that you have washed out, but nothing is better than the natural way.
Contact the breeder to find out the correct method of bathing these dogs.

Since I did research on grooming a hairless Crested, it was simple to pull up the following grooming links for a Powderpuff.

Crestars Chinese Cresteds Powderpuff Grooming

Woodlyn Chinese Crested Grooming Options

It was interesting to note that because the Chinese Crested Powderpuff hair tends to break unless frequently shampooed that bathing once a week or so was recommended. Just use a good non-drying shampoo and condition. I would assume that this is because the Crested, unlike other dogs, has sweat glands in its skin, thereby making it prone to acne and other skin problems if not bathed frequently.
