as most of you know i got the job as special needs assistant
the lady rang me on 28th of april
she said she would send letter to tell me details of where i would be but she did not say when i would get letter
now it is june and i have no recieved letter
what should i do really worried
only 8 weeks till i start

Oh gosh you must feel really nervous. I would ring up and/or send a little note to the effect of ......................
Dear Mrs Bloggs, just a quick follow up to my successful interview of the xx April to double check my starting date/time and to whom should I report blah blah

10-1 the post office have lost it, she told you you had the job just do as Tohme suggests and drop them a line.

Post office have lost it, over 3 million letter go missing every year. Drop her a nice note.

Yes, I agree with the others, get in touch with the lady. She'll be pleased that you are so keen, and even if she hasn't yet sent the letter, she'll be impressed with your motivation and sense of responsibility.

yes i am going to wait until after the first week of july to see does the letter arrive and then send a note or ring

I do feel for you as this happened to me with my new job too. Delays in getting formal offer letters out of personnel are so nerve wracking but at least she gave you a result - I had t wait 4 weeks to get any kind of indication. You are the best person for this job, whats for you will not go by you as we say up here, so dont worry. :)

Gina phone tomorrow it will put your mind at rest & let them know your keen to start

If your LEA are anything like ours, you will have started the job BEFORE you get the confirmatiom. Give them a ring just to put your mind at rest!
