Could someone just confirm the rules for entering AV classes, there is a limit show very near to us in August which doesn't have a class for our breed but they do have AV Gundog(Junior, Novice, Post Graduate and Open)and also AV P, J, PG, O and V. Can I still enter the AV classes even though we don't have a breed class? The rules are a bit baffling at times!!

You can enter any AV class for which you are qualified, if there are breed classes as well you must enter that but if not you just enter the AV classes. If you have a puppy and there are AV puppy classes but no breed puppy classes you do not need to enter any of the breed classes you can enter the AV Puppy class in stead.
Thanks Jackie, I think I'm gonna enter as many as I can to support the CS. It would be a shame to lose the limit shows as everyone says how good they are for novice dogs, like our Chloe-almost 6 and never been shown before!!

At limited shows even if there are breed classes you do not have to enter the breed classes. I know 'cos I show more than one dog of similar age & same breed & once had someone try to object but I had done my homework on the regs for limited shows

You will be right then, never had dealings with Limited shows.

It was quite funny as my dogs were BIS & Res BIS & another exhibitor in the same breed was grinning ear to ear & had her money in her hand only to have her hopes of getting my dogs disqualified dashed by the show manager looking up the regs LOL The other exhibitor wrote to the KC & complained(a six page long letter) & was basically told told rough the regs are the regs LOL
