anyway im just looking through her paperwork and i dont have the actual kc certificate...i have a letter from kc welcoming new owner and acnoledging her kc name thunderstorm lass and i have a pedigree with her parents names and numbers etc but im sure i should have a certificate? i dont really want to ask the lady...and i have the original breeders number in blackpool so....
also im quite interested in finding out more about her history there seems to be a lot of champions in her family!! is there anyone out there who knows about boxers and could maybe tell me a bit about mine? ive tried to register but am having trouble getting in!!

Boxer puppies are very lovely, aren't they? Is the welcome letter from The Kennel Club or Dog Lovers Registration Club?? You should have a certificate from the Kennel Club so that you can transfer the ownership.

If it is the KC papers then the previous owner needs to fill in the transfer of ownership and you need to send off your details to register the dog in your name :)
A baby Boxer, how lovely!
Try typing the names from her pedigree into Google.

Does the Kennel Club issue welcoming letters? I've never had one. It sounds suspiciously like the DLRC or a similar commercial registry. What is the actual wording on the letter?

Think the insurance letter does.

Ah, that would be why I've never seen one! My pups that leave home have insurance, so their new owners would get the letter, not me.
Guest, you should certainly contact the pup's previous owner to get the registration form and transfer the ownership into your name (or else legally he still belongs to her!).

Could it be the KC Companion Club??

Guest enjoy your little bundle of fun!! I've got a 2 year old boxer and my only wish is that I'd had him from a puppy - we got him at 12 months and so I missed out on the cute puppy stages.
Why don't you join up and then you can keep up informed about your little girl - whats her name?

When i sold my last litter of puppies i gave the new owners their breeder registration certificate and attached to that is the welcoming letter from the kennel club advising the new owner to register their new ownership and about kennel club insurance. It sounds as if your puppy is k.c reg but previous owner has only given you part of your papers.
