how do you introduce puppies to guinea pigs properly? i recently read on this board about the poor woman whos dog attacked her rabbit so im not sure what to do, can anyone help?

def. not an expert on this but think you should be ok if your pup is very young holding him in your arms so he can just watch for a few minutes if he`s like my 9 wk pup he`ll just want to watch and wonder whats that ,do this often and increase the time,remember gp`s are prey animals so won`t worn of the pup like a cat would by hissing or lashing out.i would def. not allow them to be together but they should be ok in a lidded run in the garden with the pup running around outside also gp`s can have heart attacks if very very scared.mine are very timid yours my be not so.i do have a friend who`s dog sits and follows her gp around but be very causious and take care.esp till you know your dogs temperament,which prob won`t be clear till he` a bit older hope that helps maybe someone more experienced with post soon s baxter
