Topic Dog Boards / Health / Cushings disease in boxer
- By ChinaBlue [gb] Date 22.06.04 20:12 UTC
A friend of mine has just had her boxer diagnosed with Cushings and is terribly down. Her mother is also suffering from cancer, so she is really stressed. Does anyone here have a dog currently receiving successful medication to control the Cushings, or had an operation to remove (adrenal) gland tumour?

Any hope I can pass on to her would be extremely welcome at this time.

Thanks everyone

Don't know where you are in the country but Chris Day, the homoeopathic Vet in Oxfordshire, has had good success with Cushings!

There is a group called "caninecushings" on yahoo groups. I am sure your friend would be able to get some useful info. on there.

Thank you both, I've emailed both your replies to her. We are in Kent, so not a million miles from Oxfordshire.

Thanks a lot

I knew him to keep a Yorkie with Cushings going for 7 years when their Vet had said about 3 months!!  Hope he can do the same for you!
