I only recently realised that you can purchase champ show rosettes from someone on one of hte stands at champ shows. I would love to get hold of all the ones that I previously missed. Does anyone know the chaps number or website or some way to contact this trader?
Thanks
Liz

There are always two of these at WKC champ show, and they carry the tails from the previous shos, as I got several at once one year.
I used to get one any time one of mine won a first at a Champ show, but when Jozi started winning well I stopped buying them as it cost me a bomb, so poor Lexi hasn't had any either.
Don`t really want to think about the cost. Must be at least 10 ribbons I need.

i continue to find it amazing that you dont get rossettes at champ shows!!!! all that entry money & they cant stretch to 4or6 ribbons per class!!!shocking. id be gutted if i was placed at a obedience show & i didnt get a ribbon to go on that dogs board!

If you mean the ones you can buy at Champshows they start at about £3 if you mean the sort that you are given at open shows they are about 55p to 75p and it does cost the organising club a large slice of the available funds so if you are just going to throw it away give it back with a smile.

right everyone who doesn't keep the rosettes, at the end of your show day give them back to the secretary to reuse for their next show. This will keep everyone happy weho likes rosettes, and will save the pennies for the hard pressed Open show societies.

Went to a show last weekend and if you wanted your rosette you have to take your card to the secretaries tent and collect it, this was not just the class rosettes but the principle ones too. Good idea for the club but did spoil the feeling of a good win, who wants to run round the ring empty handed :( Having said that I do understand how pinched open show organisers are, the cost of venues are so expensive now, well some are, that even a few coppers saved makes the difference between the next show and the giving up the organisation of another show.

In some shedules it give the option of sponsoring the class for rosettes,I still like to recieve one but dont put the ordinary ones up only say Best of breed/best puppy
we have a fun show every year in july for rescue we always put lovely rosettes on and lots of specials dont think there are many go home empty handed
Also its lovely when judging to be able to award nice rosettes for the best of breed etc..
