Did anyone else get wet at Border Union. The frequent showers played havoc with the judging on Saturday. We have a large, white, long-haired breed (Pyrenean Mountain Dogs) and it was murder trying to keep them clean and dry! However, in our case it was worth the effort.

We had to make a quick dash in the middle of the dog judging to the wet weather tent, which was a tiny ring with a post in the middle of it, so the judge kept having to look either side - hardly ideal. We later drove back south through torrential rain and hail. Don't you just love the British summer?
Whilst we're on the subject of BU, I was quite surprised at the security arrangements. Besides members of the public walking round stroking the dogs on the benches, which I know is hard to stop, no one seemed to be checking the dogs when we left the site. Is this normal?
Joan - congratulations !!! you must feel really proud.

I also was most surprised at the lack of security. It was my first time up there, and we walked straight in, from the car, without anything being checked at all. Not even a specified entrance. The same leaving as well. Is it normally like that. It was also the only time I have ever been to a show where its poured down and we've had to go into the wet weather tents!! We di get a 4th with our puppy so it wasn't too bad.
