Hello all, I'm asking on behalf of a friend who has a farm and 4 children.  They are desperate to buy a dog as a family pet.  However one of the children who is 4 has an skin allergy to dogs, mainly the type that malt(sp!) Do any of you know anything about this, are there any breeds that are ok?

no cross breeds can be guaranteed not to moult so you will need a pedigree.

ps has the child had a test done...apparently its often the dander that is causing the problem not the hair.Speak to the doctor.

There are lots...but as Archer says, it may not be the hair which causes the allergy. If, after testing, these people choose a breed, make sure they find a breeder or someone who will let them spend a good few hours with the dogs to ensure there will be no reaction.
