hi my girl is a maiden, shes 21/2 shes had hip/heart tests and were happy to go ahead and breed her.....problem is shes NOT!
we are now on day 11 clear discharge,stud seems to be sure shes ready but no raising of her tail shes flirty then aggressive and isnt happy to be touched on her rear end just sitting or lying down whenever i or stud goes near.
im not putting any pressure on her,stud is with me for a few days so no rush but i just cant understand why this is happening, i put them together 1st time yesterday and they were flirting like mad so i thought "game on" but nothing.
today same thing. can anyone give me any advice??

Hi... it sounds like your girl isnt ready, maybe the dog is too keen??? when she is ready she will stand and flag her tail also raise her vulva....i would leave her untill monday then try again, and keep the stud away from her if you cant ?? see if one of your family will have your girl untill Monday..

I wouldn't worry, my girl did exactly the same to me 5 weeks ago, she wasn't ready until day 20!!!!  after travelling 900 miles back and forth to the stud we ended up having her premate tested at the vets, 3 blood tests later she was ready, so as long as your sure she hasn't gone over then get her tested it will put you mind at ease.  My girl had a litter last year, one mating day 11 - 7 healthy pups, completely different this time though!
