Ground maize, chicken and turkey meal, maize gluten meal, ground rice, dried beet pulp, digest, animal fat, dried whole egg, dehydrated carrots, dehydrated peas, potassium chloride, salt, vegetable oil, flaxseed, L-lysine hydrochloride, L-carnitine supplement, vitamin E supplement, iron oxide, L-tryptophan, choline chloride, disodium phosphate, vitamin C supplement, ferrous sulphate, zinc oxide, mixed tocopherols, niacin, thiamin, vitamin A supplement, beta-carotene supplement, citric acid, copper sulphate, calcium pantothenate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, manganous oxide, rosemary extract, riboflavin, vitamin D3 supplement, folic acid, calcium iodate, sodium selenite, biotin, vitamin B12.

The above is the large breed puppy formula as you can see the largest single ingredient is maize which can be a problem for many dogs.  Flaxseed can also cause itchies.

If you are trying your dog on a food to prevent itchy skin I would not go for any of the Hills recipes but go for Naturediet or Burns first, they have the fewest ingredients and do not contain unecessary fillers such as dried beet pulp, salt etc.  They contain only meat, rice and vegetables.  Less is sometimes more....................
